You do not necessarily have to join the Facebook group to take part in the class, however it is a lovely place to connect with other students, share work in progress photos and ask questions along the way.
I will also be posting additional information about supplies and preparation inside of the group before the class begins, so if you are planning to follow along, I strongly recommend joining.

In this class we will learn how to work on glass surfaces and transform a simple whiskey decanter into a vintage-inspired treasure full of delicate details and soft old-world charm.
We will work with contour liners, air dry clay, rice paper and a selection of Pentart mediums to create texture, dimension and beautiful antique finishes.
This project is beginner friendly, but also includes lots of little techniques and details that more experienced crafters will enjoy too.
You are welcome to follow my exact design or use the techniques shown to create something completely unique using supplies and papers you already have access to.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED FOR THIS CLASS:
Glass bottle / whiskey decanter or similar
(Ideally something with at least a few flatter surfaces)
LaBlanche LBD538 rice paper
(The new 4 image sheet with the door, violin, cake and lady portrait)
Pentart Country Blue Acrylic Paint (or similar shade)
Pentart Ivory Acrylic Paint (or similar shade)
Pentart Ultra Matte Decoupage Glue
Pentart Bonding Primer
Pentart White or Pearl Contour Liner
Pentart Antique Paste – Umbra
White Acrylic Paint
Pentart White Gold or Dark Gold Delicate Metallic Paint
Silicone mould with ornate / floral / scroll style details
(Something similar in style to the IOD Unicorns mould works beautifully)
Air dry clay (Jovi or DAS recommended)
White glue for moulds
(PVA, Heavy Body Gel or Express Glue all work well)
Vintage style ribbon in ivory or dusty blue tones
Silver metal chain + charms (optional)
IMPORTANT PAPER INFORMATION
The new LaBlanche rice papers will be available to purchase from the Decoupage Queen website after Thursday May 28th.
Alternative rice papers are absolutely welcome if you would prefer to use something different.
