This blog post is about 2 years behind schedule but better late than never right????
It was one of those projects that just stay with you through the years, as it turned out even better than I thought it would!
So! Here comes a step by step, product list and (shameless plug) of an online class that I taught last year for a bauble that teaches you all of the exact techniques you need to create a bauble just like this one (except its round, not concave :D )

STEP BY STEP
Sand, clean and prime. Use a fine sandpaper to give your bauble a little grit. Then clean it all off and prime using Bonding primer
Decoupage. I used 2 of the same image but in different sizes. One out of a 4 pack (listed below) on the centre part of the bauble and another one which was just a regular A4 size version of that paper that I ripped in to motifs and pieces to collage over the rest of the bauble. TIP:make sure you feather your edges and rip paper to overlap it instead of creasing
Varnish and sand. After decoupage apply several coats of water based varnish and sand once dry to smooth out the surface
Apply Glitter paste or Glitter Glue Next apply 1-2 coats of either Pentart glitter paste or Pentart glitter decoupage glue over the bauble for extra sparkly effect.
Add white edges and paint splatters Who doesn't like a bit of vintage effect? Add some white edging to the concave part and white paint splatters everywhere else!
Varnish again
Apply Fineline Crackle Use Pentart Fineline Crackle to achieve cracked porcelain/glass look over the bauble. Evidence your cracks using Pentart Liquid patina or metal pigments
MORE Varnish Finally, seal the whole deal with couple coats of Pentart Solvent varnish in gloss finish for that final shiny look and add a bow!!!
And there you are! This is how you create one of these! And here's a little video showing more of the step by step process and keep reading for that product list!
