Rustic Fall inspired keyholder | EASY DIY

It all started with Decoupage Queens new Fall & Nature Collection.
Specifically Cottage Pumpkin 2 rice paper, it was truly love at first sight. I just HAD to get it on to something! And with a million and one other obligations on my hands it had to be something really quick and simple, and thus - rustic key holder/ jewellery / coat/towel/anything else you can think of holder was born!
Here's the step by step and a short video tutorial if you would like to create one of your own!

Step by Step process:
Prime your wooden base with Acrylic Primer (I used Pentart white acrylic primer), then sand until your surface is lovely and smooth
Decoupage rice paper of your choice on to the base. Apply 1 coat of glue under the paper, then smooth out the paper over it and apply another coat on top!
Sand off excess paper once dry
Paint the rest of the plaque in colour of your choice (preferably contrasting to the final paint colour you want!) Make sure to paint the back of the plaque too, it deserves your attention!
Apply a thin coat of Vintage Effect medium by Pentart over your first paint and let it dry
Paint over all of your darker paint with a light colour
Once your light paint is dry - sand it back. You will be able to reveal brown underneath thanks to Vintage Effect medium!
Attach your hooks and you're good to go!!!
And just like that - a very simple but VERY cute rustic fall themed plaque is born! You could also skip the hooks and just keep it as wall decor!

HOW IT WORKS
The workshop will be hosted in a private group on Facebook.
In order to take part in the workshop you will need to have a facebook account, if you don't already have one it is very easy and free to set up. Simply go to Facebook.com
Once the payment has gone through STAY ON THE PAYMENT PAGE until you see an option to Download a digital File.
(If you don't see it please check your email)
The file you download will contain the link to the private group and instructions of what you should do next, as well as the list of items you will need to recreate the project.
This workshop will be done in a live format, meaning I'm going to go live in the private facebook group and show exactly what I do, in real time.
As this will be happening in real time you will have an option to ask any questions in the chat.
If for any reason you can not be present for the live demonstration, the recordings of livestreams will be saved in the group so you can watch it in replay whenever it is convenient to you.
This project will be broken down in to several live demonstrations. The exact amount of days is stated in the "ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP" section, However I do like to keep it flexible and go with the flow, so if more/less time is needed I will update the group.
Once the workshop is finished the group will not be closed or deleted so you will have access to the videos indefinitely.
